Getting Started with Shake

Shake is an AI-native project workspace built for teams that ship software. It combines a kanban board, collaborative docs, real-time chat, and an AI engineer called @shake — all in one place.

What makes Shake different

Most project tools are passive. You create cards, move them around, and then do the work separately. Shake is different: @shake is an AI engineer that lives inside your workspace. It reads your cards, understands your codebase, creates pull requests, reviews changes, and comments on decisions — all within the card timeline.

The three headline innovations:

  1. @shake identity — Not a chatbot. A first-class team member with a card assignment queue, a mention handle, and a persistent memory of your project.
  2. Unified card timeline — Every plan, decision, chat message, agent run, commit, and deploy in one append-only stream per card. The project's memory, not just its task list.
  3. User-owned infrastructure — Your GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, and Railway accounts. Shake is the control plane; you own the substrate.
