What are Shake AI credits?
Credits measure Shake AI usage. Every time Shake runs — reading your codebase, writing code, opening a PR, shipping a deploy — it consumes credits proportional to the work. Everything else in Shake (kanban, docs, chat, calendar, integrations) is free and never uses credits.
What happens when my credits run out?
Shake AI pauses. Your workspace, cards, docs, integrations, and team access are completely unaffected — nothing is locked or deleted. If auto-recharge is on, $25 is charged automatically and you're back in seconds. Otherwise, add credits manually from Settings.
How does auto-recharge work?
Enable it once in Settings → Billing. When your workspace balance hits zero, your card on file is automatically charged $25 and 2,500 credits are added instantly. No thresholds to configure, no pack sizes to pick — just on or off.
Is a credit card required to sign up?
No. You get free starter credits with no card required. A card is only needed when you want to buy more credits.
Do teammates share a credit pool?
Yes. Credits belong to the workspace, not to individual members. Every member's Shake AI activity draws from the same shared balance. The workspace billing owner manages payment settings.
What integrations are included?
All integrations are available to every workspace with no restrictions: GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, and Railway. Integrations never cost credits — only Shake AI runs do.
How does billing work?
Credit packs are purchased upfront via Square. Auto-recharge charges your card on file when your balance drops below your configured threshold. There are no subscriptions, no monthly invoices, and no surprise bills.
